My Process

I am interested in the function and lifespan of an object. In many cases ceramics can be used by many generations of a family and I strive to produce work of physical substance and visual subtlety to withstand the day to day stresses of our lives. I believe that fine, handmade ceramics can enhance and elevate our lives and culinary experiences beyond the mundane. I produce both functional and sculptural ceramics. Commissions upon request.

Generally my work can be considered mostly functional in the literal sense. However, I have been expanding my work to suss out the abstract and nebulous. I seek to discover meaning through my work be it large or small. I will let you know what that is once I’ve uncovered it. I am focusing on small size sculpture. I currently reside, teach, and produce work in Seattle, WA.
